On 15th November 2018, UNIEP celebrated its 65th Anniversary.
During the ceremony hosted by MEPs Sanders and Ribeiro at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, UNIEP has confirmed its mission to enhance cooperation among the European painter associations and represent the interests of the sector jointly.
The event has been a remarkable occasion to exchange ideas and propositions based on UNIEP Manifesto for the EU elections 2019. The discussion focused on the Vocational Education and Training, trying to figure out how to increase the attractiveness and access to finance of VET systems, as well as digitalisation and the health and safety at work.
Participants agreed on the need to maintain a fair competition in the Internal Market, which is necessary to the improvement of the painting/decorating sector throughout the EU. The future European Labour Authority will play an important role in ensuring this level playing field.

A special thanks to all the participants and the people involved in the successful organisation of this day.
A photo gallery has been uploaded on UNIEP's Facebook page and more information is contained in a extraordinary edition of UNIEP Newsletter, which you can find here.
